Ralston Instruments breaks ground on new manufacturing facility

New Facility

On June 1st, 2007 Ralston Instruments broke ground on their new manufacturing facility. Located in Newbury, OH about 30 miles outside of Cleveland, the new building is 10,000 square feet and includes a multi-product production line, a QA center and an R&D lab for new product development.

The added space not only aids in more efficient order fulfillment, but it also accommodates additional employees that Ralston Instruments plans to add in the near future.

One of the interesting aspects of this initiative is the slant towards "green building" that Ralston is incorporating throughout the process. As plans are being made, Ralston Instruments is working closely with local environmentalists to look for ways to make the building eco-friendly. This includes preserving as much of the natural environment as possible, using special low-wattage light bulbs, special insulation and energy saving building materials. The new facility is scheduled to be completed in Fall of 2007 and Ralston Instruments looks forward to moving in shortly thereafter.
